Tips for using butyl reclaimed rubber for acid and alkali resistant hoses

Acid and alkali resistant rubber hoses are made of rubber as raw materials and are used to transport acid and alkali corrosive media. Butyl rubber is mostly used for rubber hoses with strong corrosion resistance. Butyl reclaimed rubber can replace a certain proportion of butyl rubber and reduce the cost of acid and alkali resistant hoses.

1. Control the amount of butyl reclaimed rubber

When using butyl reclaimed rubber to reduce the cost of raw materials for acid and alkali resistant hoses, manufacturers need to select appropriate varieties of butyl reclaimed rubber according to the mechanical strength of the acid and alkali resistant hoses. Generally, the amount of butyl reclaimed rubber in the acid and alkali resistant 2YLYY47 hose with higher mechanical strength requirements should not be too high. The specific dosage of butyl reclaimed rubber needs to be determined in combination with butyl reclaimed rubber indicators (gum content, mechanical strength, etc.), acid and alkali resistant hose requirements, and the best dosage is determined through the results of multiple experiments.

2. Butyl acid and alkali resistant hose compounding agent

When using butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber to produce acid and alkali resistant hoses, rubber products manufacturers can choose sulfur vulcanization, combined with thiazole accelerators and thiuram accelerators. The reinforcement system selects high wear-resistant carbon black or semi-reinforced carbon black, or uses both high wear-resistant carbon black and semi-reinforced carbon black; the filler is determined according to the acid and alkali resistant hose conveying medium, and the product that is inert to the medium is selected. Common ones are barium sulfate, clay and so on. Avoid using ester softeners in the softening system, and choose softeners that are more stable in acid-base media.

3. Butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber processing

When butyl reclaimed rubber and butyl rubber are used together to produce acid and alkali resistant hoses, the process performance of butyl reclaimed rubber is different from that of butyl raw rubber. The hose manufacturer needs to masticate butyl rubber and butyl reclaimed rubber separately, and then fully masticate it. Perform mixing operations to ensure uniform mixing of rubber materials and provide better process conditions for subsequent production processes.

When using butyl reclaimed rubber to reduce the production cost of acid and alkali resistant hoses, rubber product manufacturers need to choose high-fineness, free of impurities butyl reclaimed rubber to ensure the smooth extrusion of the hose. In actual production, ultra-fine tire reclaimed rubber can also be used in the butyl acid and alkali resistant hose formula, reducing more raw material costs. It should be noted that the reclaimed tire rubber does not have acid and alkali resistance. It needs to strictly control the amount. Theoretically, the amount of reclaimed butyl rubber is less than that of butyl reclaimed rubber. The editor will have the opportunity to discuss with you later.
