1. EPDM recycled rubber adopts the common combination of sulfur vulcanization system and the characteristics of vulcanized rubber
The ordinary sulfur vulcanization system is one of the commonly used vulcanization systems for EPDM reclaimed rubber products, which is generally composed of sulfur and accelerator under the combination of activator zinc oxide and stearic acid, and the common vulcanization system combination is as follows:
(1) 1.5 parts of sulfur, 0.5 parts of accelerator M, 3 parts of accelerator TMTD; EPDM reclaimed rubber vulcanized rubber has the characteristics of fast vulcanization rate, high tensile strength, and no frosting during steam vulcanization.
(2) 2 parts of sulfur, 1.5 parts of accelerator M, 0.8 parts of accelerator TMTD, 0.8 parts of accelerator TDD, and 0.8 parts of accelerator DPTT; EPDM reclaimed rubber vulcanized rubber has the characteristics of fast vulcanization rate, high tensile strength, easy scorching, and no frosting after flat and steam vulcanization.
2. EPDM recycled rubber adopts the common combination of semi-effective vulcanization system and the characteristics of vulcanized rubber
When using EPDM reclaimed rubber to produce rubber products with high requirements for heat aging resistance and compression set resistance, a semi-effective vulcanization system can be used, which is generally composed of a small amount of sulfur and accelerator, and the common combinations are as follows:
0.5 parts sulfur, 2 parts of vulcanizing agent DTDM, 3 parts of accelerator TMTD, 3 parts of accelerator ZDBC, 3 parts of accelerator ZDMC; EPDM reclaimed rubber vulcanized rubber has a medium vulcanization rate, the best heat aging resistance in non-peroxide vulcanization, and the smallest compression set, but it is slightly frosted when using steam vulcanization.
3. EPDM recycled rubber adopts the common combination of peroxide vulcanization system and the characteristics of vulcanized rubber
There are two types of peroxide vulcanizing agents commonly used in the production of rubber products: one is hydroxyl-containing peroxide such as dibenzoyl peroxide, and the other is hydroxyx-free peroxide such as cumene peroxide. When using EPDM recycled rubber E4LYY109 to produce rubber products, the most commonly used peroxide is cumene peroxide DCP, which can effectively improve the vulcanization rate with the accelerator TAC.
4. EPDM recycled rubber adopts the common combination of resin vulcanization system and the characteristics of vulcanized rubber
EPDM recycled rubber products can also use resin vulcanization system, commonly used vulcanizing agents are brominated alkyl phenolic resin, etc., the speed of vulcanization is slow, the elongation of vulcanized rubber is low, the hardness is high, the heat aging resistance is good, and the high temperature performance is good.
When producing rubber products with EPDM recycled rubber as the main raw material, rubber product manufacturers must select appropriate vulcanizing agents and accelerators according to the special performance requirements of rubber compounds, and reasonably design the vulcanization system of reclaimed rubber.
