1. Dry the vulcanized rubber powder in advance

When the amount of vulcanized rubber powder is controlled between 5%-15%, the toughening effect of the vulcanized rubber powder on the PP material is more obvious, and the comprehensive performance of the blended material is better. In actual production, PP toughening usually chooses about 80 mesh vulcanized rubber powder, which has good toughening effect and low cost.

3. Add coupling agent to improve blending effect

When vulcanized rubber powder is used to toughen PP, the presence of vulcanized rubber powder that does not have fluidity in the blending system in the form of particles will bring greater flow resistance, so the vulcanized rubber powder/PP blend material The fluidity increases as the particle size of the rubber powder becomes smaller, and decreases as the content of the rubber powder increases. In addition, the more the amount of vulcanized rubber powder, the lower the heat distortion temperature of the blend system. Appropriate use of silane coupling agent or titanate coupling agent can increase the thermal deformation temperature of the blend system and improve the interface performance of the vulcanized rubber powder/PP blend system.

In actual production, the amount of coupling agent in the vulcanized rubber powder/PP blend system should be controlled between 1‰ and 2‰.
