Chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber products are commonly used as softening plasticizers and use skills

Rubber softening plasticizer is a rubber additive that can improve the processing performance and physical and mechanical properties of rubber, reduce the force among rubber molecular chains, improve the processing performance, and improve the physical and mechanical properties of rubber compounds. Chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber has good air tightness, water resistance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and is widely used in motorcycle inner tubes, damping and damping blocks, sealing rings, rubber plates, fenders, sealing strips, chemical anti-corrosion, building waterproof materials and other fields.

1. Petroleum operating oils

Petroleum operating oil is a commonly used softening plasticizer in the production of chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber products, which has the characteristics of good plasticizing effect, rich source and low cost, mainly including paraffin oil, naphthenic oil, aromatic oil, industrial petroleum jelly, etc., which can significantly reduce the Mooney viscosity of the rubber compound, help to mix, improve the operation, improve the low-temperature performance, improve the extrusion performance of the rubber compound, and improve the low-temperature flexibility of the rubber compound.

Chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber

Chlorobutyl reclaimed rubber has better affinity with aromatic hydrocarbon operating oil, and has little effect on the tensile stress of chlorobutyl reclaimed rubber vulcanized rubber. However, aromatic oil has a certain degree of fading and pollution, which reduces the low-temperature flexural resistance and fatigue resistance of the rubber compound, and needs to reduce the amount E4LYY925 of carbon black appropriately. Paraffin oil has good compatibility with chlorobutyl reclaimed rubber, good cold resistance, low pollution, no adverse effect on the elasticity and heat generation of reclaimed rubber, and can be used for light-colored chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber products with environmental protection requirements. The performance of naphthenic oil is among paraffin oil and aromatic oil, and the pollution is less than that of aromatic oil.

2. Ester plasticizers

Ester plasticizer is a compound formed by combining organic acids and alcohols through esterification reaction, which is mainly used to improve the low-temperature flexural performance of rubber compounds in chlorobutyl reclaimed rubber products. Common ester plasticizers include dibutyl phthalate (DBP), dioctyl phthalate (DOP), etc. Ester plasticizers can shield the intermolecular forces of rubber by interacting with polar groups on the rubber molecular chain to improve the flexibility and low-temperature performance of rubber compounds. It should be noted that the use of ester plasticizers will reduce the heat resistance and compression set resistance of the rubber compound, so it is recommended to use it in combination with petroleum-based softeners or coal tar-based softeners.

Tire innerliners

Paraffin, low molecular weight polyethylene, aliphatic/naphthene/aromatic resin compounds, mineral rubber, etc. will also be used in the production of chlorinated butyl reclaimed rubber products, etc., to improve the operation performance and adhesion performance of the rubber compound.
