The traditional common radiator hose uses natural rubber as the main raw material. With the continuous advancement of reclaimed rubber production technology, radiator hose manufacturers have begun to use tire reclaimed rubber instead of natural rubber to reduce the cost of hose production. In actual production, tire reclaimed rubber can be used together with a small amount of natural rubber to prepare radiator hose inner rubber and wipe rubber. Different parts of the radiator hose have different performance requirements, and the type and amount of compounding ingredients in the formula are different.

1. Reference formula for radiator hose

Inner rubber: 180 parts of reclaimed tire rubber, 10 parts of natural rubber, 5 parts of paraffin oil, 3 parts of pine tar oil, 1 part of antioxidant, 2.1 parts of zinc oxide, 1 part of stearic acid, 100 parts of carbon black, 100 parts of clay, 2.8 parts of sulfur, 1.1 parts of accelerator; total: 406 parts.

Rubber rubbing: 180 parts of reclaimed tire rubber, 10 parts of natural rubber, 5 parts of paraffin oil, 5 parts of pine tar oil, 1 part of antioxidant, 2.1 parts of zinc oxide, 1 part of stearic acid, 100 parts of carbon black, 75 parts of light calcium, 2.8 parts of sulfur and 1.1 parts of accelerator; total: 383 parts.

2. Selection of radiator hose compounding agent

When using reclaimed tire rubber as the main raw material to prepare the radiator hose, use sulfur as the vulcanizing agent and use the accelerator DM to make the vulcanized rubber have better aging resistance and less scorching; choose thermal cracking with large particles, low structure and superior dynamic performance French carbon black reinforcement can further improve the mixing and extrusion performance of the radiator hose, and increase the heat resistance of the product 2LLYY1029. The use of antioxidant RD significantly improves the heat-resistant oxygen aging performance of the tire reclaimed rubber radiator hose and prolongs the service life of the hose.

3. Vulcanization conditions of radiator hose

When preparing ordinary radiator hoses with tire reclaimed rubber as the main raw material, reasonable control of the vulcanization process conditions can further improve the comprehensive indicators of the radiator hose. Rubber product manufacturers can determine the process performance indicators of the tire reclaimed rubber. Under normal circumstances, the tire reclaimed rubber radiator hose is vulcanized at a temperature of 150-155°C, and the vulcanization time is controlled at about 30 minutes.

The large use of reclaimed tire rubber for ordinary radiator hoses can effectively reduce the cost of raw materials. When adding natural rubber to tire reclaimed rubber to further improve product comprehensive indicators, rubber product manufacturers can choose dark-colored Zou pian rubber to integrate the process performance characteristics of the two rubber raw materials, tire reclaimed rubber and Zou pian rubber, and adjust appropriately according to actual needs.
