(1) The ratio of natural rubber and latex reclaimed rubber

According to the performance requirements of the shock absorbing pad, different proportions of natural rubber and latex reclaimed rubber can be selected. Natural rubber provides excellent elasticity and fatigue resistance, and latex reclaimed rubber can maintain good processability and abrasion and aging resistance while reducing costs. The compound of sponge rubber needs to have enough plasticity to ensure uniform foaming. The combined rubber of natural rubber and latex reclaimed rubber should be fully plasticized to ensure that the plasticity reaches more than 0.5.

(2) Design of vulcanization system

Foaming agent H is a commonly used foaming agent for sponge rubber shock absorbing pads, and the dosage and decomposition temperature need to be adjusted according to the thickness and performance requirements of the product; Urea and water can assist in foaming and optimize the cell structure: the size and uniformity of the cells can be controlled by adjusting the amount of blowing agent and the vulcanization system. The cell structure of sponge rubber directly affects its shock absorption and sound insulation performance.

(4) Design of filling system: light calcium, spray carbon black, barium sulfate and other fillers can be used to adjust the density and mechanical properties of the rubber compound. The addition of filler should ensure uniform dispersion to avoid uneven cells caused by filler aggregation.

(5) The design of the anti-aging system: the porous structure of sponge rubber makes it have a large surface area and is easy to age. Therefore, it is necessary to add high-efficiency antioxidants to the formula, such as antioxidant D, 4010, etc.
