By using phenolic resin or alkyl phenolic resin vulcanization, butyl reclaimed rubber can form stable —C—C— and —C—O—C— crosslinking bonds with good thermal stability. For example, highly reactive phenolic resins such as tert-butyl phenolic resin and brominated alkyl phenolic resin, combined with activators such as stannous chloride and zinc oxide, used at a vulcanization temperature of 160-180°C, ensure that the crosslinking reaction of the butyl reclaimed rubber is fully carried out.
