Butyl reclaimed rubber quinone oxime and resin curing system

When using butyl reclaimed rubber, butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber combined rubber to produce rubber products, choosing the right vulcanization system is critical to the quality of the finished rubber product. In actual production, butyl reclaimed rubber products can not only use sulfur vulcanization system, but also choose resin vulcanization system or quinone oxime vulcanization system; then how to match the basic vulcanization formula of butyl reclaimed rubber using quinone oxime and resin vulcanization system? ?

2. Key points of coordination of quinone oxime vulcanization system of butyl reclaimed rubber

Butyl reclaimed rubber is easily vulcanized using a quinone oxime vulcanization system. When p-quinone dioxime or p-dibenzoyl quinone dioxime is vulcanized with butyl rubber, butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber, and butyl reclaimed rubber 2ELYY610, it first reacts with oxygen or metal oxide to generate dinitrosobenzene, It is then cross-linked with the double bonds of the isoprene units in the butyl compound. In actual production, when a quinone oxime vulcanization system is used in the basic vulcanization formula of butyl reclaimed rubber, the system generally consists of a vulcanizing agent, an accelerator, an activator and an anti-scorch agent.

When the quinone oxime vulcanization system is used to vulcanize the butyl reclaimed rubber, the commonly used vulcanizing agents are p-quinone dioxime and p-dibenzoyl benzoquinone dioxime, the latter has a higher scorch safety; the dosage is controlled at 2 parts (p-quinone dioxime Dioxime)-6 parts (p-dibenzoylbenzoquinone dioxime). Accelerators generally use lead oxide, lead peroxide, lead tetroxide and accelerator M, among which lead oxide can promote vulcanization and improve the heat resistance of butyl reclaimed rubber vulcanizate. The activator is recommended to use zinc oxide to improve vulcanization and improve the heat resistance of reclaimed rubber. The commonly used scorch inhibitors in the quinone oxime vulcanization system of butyl reclaimed rubber include diphenylthiourea and dibenzylamine.

In actual production, since lead oxide has certain contamination to the rubber compound, it is recommended to use accelerator DM when using butyl reclaimed rubber to produce light-colored rubber products.

3. Main points of coordination of butyl reclaimed rubber resin vulcanization system

Butyl reclaimed rubber vulcanizates vulcanized with phenolic resins have excellent heat resistance and low compression set, commonly used p-octylphenolic resins and p-tert-butylphenolic resins. The vulcanization system of the basic vulcanization formulation of butyl reclaimed rubber vulcanized with phenolic resin is mainly composed of a vulcanizing agent and an activator.

When phenolic resin is selected as vulcanizing agent for butyl rubber/reclaimed rubber and butyl reclaimed rubber, p-octyl phenolic resin has good compatibility with butyl reclaimed rubber and butyl rubber, and the vulcanized rubber compound has a relatively higher tensile stress. When the butyl reclaimed rubber is vulcanized by the phenolic resin vulcanization system, it is necessary to mix an appropriate amount of activator to promote the vulcanization of the resin and increase the vulcanization speed. The commonly used activators are metal chlorides such as stannous chloride and ferric chloride (1.5-2.5 parts) And chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride and other halogen-containing polymers (5-10 parts).

When using butyl reclaimed rubber to produce rubber products, the common vulcanization systems in the basic vulcanization formula are sulfur vulcanization system, quinone oxime vulcanization system and phenolic resin vulcanization system. Need to choose. Later, the editor will continue to share with you the mixing skills of the reinforcing filling system, softening and plasticizing system, and compounding agent in the antioxidant system in the basic vulcanization formula of butyl reclaimed rubber.
